Sacred Heart Church Bahrain was established on Christmas Eve 1939. It was the first church in the region, built on land donated by the ruler. Fr. Luigi, a Capuchin priest, oversaw its construction. The church has been served by many dedicated priests over the years. In 1953, the Comboni sisters took charge of the Sacred Heart school. The church has continued to grow and expand, with several additions and renovations. Today, it remains an important part of the Christian community in Bahrain.
